Gold Hands offers kitchen remodeling in Pinecrest, FL — from a cabinet-and-counter refresh to a full gut and rebuild. We do not price by the square foot or from a menu; each project is quoted on its own after you text or WhatsApp photos and measurements, and that estimate is free. We work across ZIP codes 33156.

Around Pinecrest and Bal Harbour, Miami and Palmetto Bay, the kitchen is often the room that has been patched the most: a replacement microwave that does not match, a faucet swapped twice, a counter seam that lifted. A remodel lets you fix those small things at once and plan the room as a whole: where the trash pull-out goes, which outlet feeds the coffee maker, how light falls on the cutting board, and where the dishwasher drains.

Start with your phone camera. Stand in each corner and take a photo toward the opposite one, then shoot inside the sink cabinet, any water stains, and the electrical panel label if you can reach it. Measure each wall that has cabinets. Send everything by text or WhatsApp to (786) 788-8714. The estimate is free and priced per project, and Spanish is spoken at every step.

Remodeling kitchens on acreage in Pinecrest

Pinecrest is one of the county's most spacious residential areas: large single-family homes on generous, heavily landscaped lots, from mid-century ranch houses to substantial newer builds.

Outdoor kitchens are a common request on bigger lots in Pinecrest. Exterior-rated cabinets, a stone or concrete top, a sink and space for a built-in grill can turn a covered patio into a usable cooking area. Florida sun, rain and humidity are hard on materials, so we steer you toward finishes that tolerate weather rather than indoor cabinets that will swell and peel.

Running gas, water and new circuits out to a patio is permitted work, handled through our general contractor partner with the Village of Pinecrest building department (or Miami-Dade County for unincorporated East Kendall addresses). If the property is on a well or septic system, as many larger lots in East Kendall and the larger-lot streets are, we take that into account for the sink and talk through whether a disposal makes sense for your system. Those decisions are made before you buy equipment, not after.

Kitchens in Pinecrest's block-built suburban homes

Many Pinecrest owners have lived in the house long enough to know what bothers them in the kitchen: the corner cabinet nobody can reach, the trash can in the way, the single outlet behind the toaster. A remodel is the moment to fix those details. Blind-corner pull-outs, a trash drawer, a dedicated microwave spot and outlets placed where you actually use small appliances are easy to plan in at the start.

Townhomes add one more consideration: shared walls and, in many communities, an association that wants to know about the work. Exterior changes such as a new range hood vent through the wall may need approval. Inside, we protect floors that continue into the living room, contain dust at the kitchen opening and keep a working sink available as long as the counter schedule allows.

From photos to a finished kitchen in Pinecrest

  1. Estimate from photos: you text or WhatsApp photos of each wall, the sink cabinet and the floor, plus counter lengths and ceiling height. We reply with questions or a free estimate priced for your project.
  2. Written scope and schedule: we list cabinets, counters, backsplash, fixtures and finish work item by item, note what you supply and what we supply, and agree on a start date that follows material arrival.
  3. Permits where required: plumbing moves, new circuits and wall changes are pulled by our general contractor partner with the Village of Pinecrest building department (or Miami-Dade County for unincorporated East Kendall addresses), and inspections are scheduled before walls or cabinets close up.
  4. The work: demolition with dust protection, cabinet install, countertop template by the stone shop, then counter install, backsplash, sink, appliances and lighting, in that order so each step has a finished surface to work on.
  5. Final walkthrough: we open every door and drawer, run the water and disposal, test appliances and lights, touch up caulk and paint, and send you photos of the finished kitchen with any notes.

Kitchen remodel timing: short jobs and long ones

A kitchen refresh that keeps the cabinets, such as paint, hardware, a backsplash and a new faucet, is usually a matter of days. A replacement with new cabinets and countertops takes longer, mostly because the stone shop can only template after the cabinets are installed and then needs time to fabricate. During that gap you have cabinets but no counters, so we plan a temporary sink setup where possible.

Kitchen Remodeling in Pinecrest — questions we get asked

What if you find old plumbing or wiring behind my kitchen walls?

In older homes it is common to find galvanized supply lines, cast-iron drains or wiring that does not support modern appliances. When the cabinets come out, we show you what we found with photos and explain the options before anything changes. Replacing those lines is permitted work handled by our general contractor partner with the Village of Pinecrest building department (or Miami-Dade County for unincorporated East Kendall addresses), quoted separately so you can decide.

What is not included in a kitchen remodel?

We do not fabricate stone countertops; the stone shop does that and we coordinate. Permitted plumbing, electrical, gas and structural work goes through our general contractor partner rather than our own crew. We also do not repair appliances or take on roof or exterior work. Anything outside the written scope is discussed and quoted before it is done, never added silently.

Can I stay in the house during a kitchen remodel?

Most people do. We put up dust barriers at the kitchen opening, protect floors along the work path and clean up at the end of each day. You will be without the kitchen for part of the project, so setting up a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge in another room helps. We tell you in advance which days water or power will be off.

Does hurricane season affect my kitchen project?

It can. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Shipping delays can push cabinet and stone deliveries, and if a storm approaches we stop work, secure materials and clear the site. We order early, avoid leaving the kitchen open longer than necessary and tell you right away when a date moves.

Do you make the countertops yourselves?

No. Quartz, granite and other stone tops are fabricated by a stone shop. We coordinate with them: cabinets go in first, the shop templates the tops on the installed cabinets, then cuts and delivers them, and we schedule the install, the sink cutout and the backsplash around those dates. You can pick your slab at the shop or choose from samples.
