Gold Hands offers kitchen remodeling in Parkland, FL: cabinet installation or refacing, countertop coordination and install, backsplash tile, sink and faucet, appliances, lighting, paint and flooring. Every kitchen is priced per project. Send photos and rough measurements by phone or WhatsApp and we return a free estimate; any work that needs a permit in Broward County goes through our general contractor partner.
Kitchen remodeling in Parkland usually falls into one of three sizes. A refresh changes surfaces: paint or reface cabinets, new hardware, a backsplash, maybe a faucet. A replacement swaps cabinets and counters in the same layout. A full remodel moves things: the sink to an island, a wall opened, new circuits for appliances. Knowing which one you want before you shop for materials saves money and a lot of back-and-forth.
If you are not sure which size fits, send photos anyway and tell us your priorities and what you want to keep. A text or WhatsApp to (786) 788-8714 with wall photos, counter lengths and ceiling height is enough to start. We answer in English or Spanish with a free estimate priced for your project, and we explain which parts would need our general contractor partner and a permit.

Newer homes, HOA rules and kitchen upgrades
Parkland is almost entirely single-family homes built from the 1990s onward inside master-planned, gated communities such as Heron Bay, nearly all under active HOAs with architectural review.
Newer homes in Parkland's master-planned communities usually have sensible kitchen layouts but builder-grade finishes: flat-panel cabinets, a standard granite or quartz top, and a backsplash that stops at the outlet line. Owners in Heron Bay and West Parkland commonly upgrade to taller or custom-look cabinets, a full-height backsplash, a larger island and better lighting, while keeping the plumbing exactly where the builder put it.
Interior kitchen work generally does not go through architectural review, but HOAs often have rules about contractor access, working hours, parking, and where a dumpster or debris trailer can sit. Some gated communities require contractors to be registered at the gate in advance. We send the documents your HOA asks for and schedule cabinet and stone deliveries so trucks are not blocking a shared street.

Kitchens on larger Parkland properties
Larger properties in Parkland often have more than one kitchen: the main house, a guest house or in-law suite, and sometimes a summer kitchen on the patio. Owners frequently remodel two at once to share the same cabinet line and stone slab, which simplifies the material order. We scope each kitchen separately in the estimate so you can see and decide on each one.
Access matters on acreage. Long driveways, gates, soft ground after rain and horses or livestock nearby all affect how a cabinet truck or stone delivery reaches the house. We plan the delivery route with you and protect lawns and drives where we can. Permits for a guest house kitchen or a new outdoor kitchen with gas, water or power go through our general contractor partner with the City of Parkland building department.
Our kitchen remodeling process
- Estimate from photos: you text or WhatsApp photos of each wall, the sink cabinet and the floor, plus counter lengths and ceiling height. We reply with questions or a free estimate priced for your project.
- Written scope and schedule: we list cabinets, counters, backsplash, fixtures and finish work item by item, note what you supply and what we supply, and agree on a start date that follows material arrival.
- Permits where required: plumbing moves, new circuits and wall changes are pulled by our general contractor partner with the City of Parkland building department, and inspections are scheduled before walls or cabinets close up.
- The work: demolition with dust protection, cabinet install, countertop template by the stone shop, then counter install, backsplash, sink, appliances and lighting, in that order so each step has a finished surface to work on.
- Final walkthrough: we open every door and drawer, run the water and disposal, test appliances and lights, touch up caulk and paint, and send you photos of the finished kitchen with any notes.
Kitchen remodel timing: short jobs and long ones
A kitchen refresh that keeps the cabinets, such as paint, hardware, a backsplash and a new faucet, is usually a matter of days. A replacement with new cabinets and countertops takes longer, mostly because the stone shop can only template after the cabinets are installed and then needs time to fabricate. During that gap you have cabinets but no counters, so we plan a temporary sink setup where possible.

Kitchen Remodeling in Parkland — questions we get asked
Does my HOA need to approve a kitchen remodel?
Interior kitchen work often does not need architectural review, but HOAs commonly have rules on contractor access, working hours, parking and debris containers, and some gated communities register contractors at the gate. Anything that changes the exterior, like a new hood vent through the wall, usually needs approval first. Check your community guidelines, and we will supply the documents they request.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
Moving the sink, adding circuits, changing gas lines or removing walls requires a building permit, and that work is pulled by our general contractor partner with the City of Parkland building department. Swapping cabinets, counters and backsplash in the same layout is mostly finish work, and we confirm whether your municipality asks for anything on it. You know which parts need a permit before you approve the estimate.
Who handles cleanup and debris?
We do. Old cabinets, counters, tile and packaging are hauled away as part of the job, and the work area is swept and vacuumed at the end of each day. Before the final walkthrough we clean dust from cabinets inside and out, wipe down counters and appliances and remove floor protection. Where a condo has debris rules, we follow them.
Do you make the countertops yourselves?
No. Quartz, granite and other stone tops are fabricated by a stone shop. We coordinate with them: cabinets go in first, the shop templates the tops on the installed cabinets, then cuts and delivers them, and we schedule the install, the sink cutout and the backsplash around those dates. You can pick your slab at the shop or choose from samples.
Can I stay in the house during a kitchen remodel?
Most people do. We put up dust barriers at the kitchen opening, protect floors along the work path and clean up at the end of each day. You will be without the kitchen for part of the project, so setting up a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge in another room helps. We tell you in advance which days water or power will be off.
