Gold Hands offers kitchen remodeling in Miami Springs, FL: new or refaced cabinets, quartz and granite counters templated and fabricated by the stone shop while we coordinate, tile backsplash, and the plumbing and electrical finish work that ties it together. Pricing is per project. Text photos of the kitchen with a few wall measurements and we send a free written estimate.
People in Miami Springs rarely call us to say they want a remodel in the abstract. They call because a cabinet door fell off its hinge, the dishwasher leaked into the sink base, or they are getting ready to sell and the kitchen photographs badly. That trigger shapes the job: a repair-driven remodel often focuses on the sink wall, while a pre-sale update leans on paint, hardware, counters and lighting.
Tell us what started it. Then send photos of the problem area, the whole room, and the floor where it meets the cabinets, plus rough measurements of the counter runs. Use text or WhatsApp at (786) 788-8714, in English or Spanish. We come back with a free estimate priced for this project, and we flag early anything that would need a permit through our general contractor partner.

Remodeling a kitchen in a mid-century Miami Springs house
Miami Springs is a planned 1920s community beside Miami International Airport, known for Pueblo- and Mission-style houses on tree-lined streets, with original mid-century homes and later remodels.
A mid-century Miami Springs kitchen often has character worth keeping: a picture window, solid wood trim, a built-in hutch. Remodeling does not have to erase it. We can keep the window and trim, choose new cabinets that suit the period, and put modern counters and lighting around them. Owners who want a fully contemporary kitchen can have that too; the point is to decide deliberately rather than by default.
Older houses also bring hidden work. Existing circuits may not support a modern range, dishwasher and microwave on separate lines, and older plumbing may be undersized. When the plan needs new circuits or relocated lines, our general contractor partner pulls the permit with the City of Miami Springs building department and that work is inspected before walls close. We show those items separately in the estimate so you can see what the house requires.

Suburban kitchen remodels in Miami Springs
Suburban kitchens in Miami Springs often have tile floors that run through the whole first floor. That raises a practical question: if new cabinets have a different footprint, the floor beneath the old ones may be bare slab or a mismatched tile. We check what is under the cabinets before quoting, so you can decide between keeping the footprint, patching with spare tile, or replacing the kitchen floor.
Ceiling height and soffits shape the cabinet plan as well. In many block homes the soffit hides ductwork or a plumbing vent, so removing it is not always an option. When it is, taller uppers add real storage. When it is not, we can trim the soffit to line up with the new cabinets so it looks intentional. Either way, we confirm what is inside before promising a look.
How a kitchen remodel with Gold Hands works
- Start with a message to (786) 788-8714. Photos from each corner of the kitchen and a few tape measurements are enough for a free estimate, priced per project rather than from a menu.
- Once you approve, you get a written scope and timeline: which cabinets and counters, who orders what, which days the kitchen is out of service, and when the stone shop comes to template.
- If the design moves plumbing, adds circuits or opens a wall, that part is permitted work pulled by our general contractor partner with the City of Miami Springs building department. We tell you which items need it before you sign.
- Work proceeds in a set order: protect and demolish, install cabinets, template and install countertops, set the sink and backsplash, connect appliances and lighting, then paint and trim. You get updates by text in English or Spanish.
- We walk the finished kitchen with you, fix anything on the punch list, clean up and send a photo report. If something does not work right later, you call us and we come back to look.
Kitchen remodel timing: short jobs and long ones
A kitchen refresh that keeps the cabinets, such as paint, hardware, a backsplash and a new faucet, is usually a matter of days. A replacement with new cabinets and countertops takes longer, mostly because the stone shop can only template after the cabinets are installed and then needs time to fabricate. During that gap you have cabinets but no counters, so we plan a temporary sink setup where possible.

Kitchen Remodeling in Miami Springs — questions we get asked
What if you find old plumbing or wiring behind my kitchen walls?
In older homes it is common to find galvanized supply lines, cast-iron drains or wiring that does not support modern appliances. When the cabinets come out, we show you what we found with photos and explain the options before anything changes. Replacing those lines is permitted work handled by our general contractor partner with the City of Miami Springs building department, quoted separately so you can decide.
Who handles cleanup and debris?
We do. Old cabinets, counters, tile and packaging are hauled away as part of the job, and the work area is swept and vacuumed at the end of each day. Before the final walkthrough we clean dust from cabinets inside and out, wipe down counters and appliances and remove floor protection. Where a condo has debris rules, we follow them.
What happens if something fails after the remodel?
Call or text us. If a drawer slide sticks, a caulk line opens, a cabinet door sags or a connection weeps, we come back to look at it and sort out what caused it. Problems with the stone itself or with an appliance may go back to the fabricator or the manufacturer, and we help you with that conversation.
Does hurricane season affect my kitchen project?
It can. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Shipping delays can push cabinet and stone deliveries, and if a storm approaches we stop work, secure materials and clear the site. We order early, avoid leaving the kitchen open longer than necessary and tell you right away when a date moves.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
Moving the sink, adding circuits, changing gas lines or removing walls requires a building permit, and that work is pulled by our general contractor partner with the City of Miami Springs building department. Swapping cabinets, counters and backsplash in the same layout is mostly finish work, and we confirm whether your municipality asks for anything on it. You know which parts need a permit before you approve the estimate.
