A bed frame in Miami is $219 — it counts as a complex item, the same tier as a wardrobe or an entertainment center, because a frame with a headboard, slats and storage drawers has several times the parts of a nightstand. Bunk beds and Murphy beds are larger builds, so we quote those from the model and the room, or work at $80/hr with a two-hour minimum.

Beds are the single most common thing we assemble. A bed frame is $219, a simple item like a nightstand or a small bookshelf is $129, a dresser or a desk is $169, and three or more pieces takes 10% off the total — so a frame plus two nightstands is one discounted job rather than three separate visits. Bunk beds, loft beds and Murphy beds sit above that: tell us the retailer and model, or send a photo of the boxes, and we price the job instead of guessing at it. Call or text (786) 788-8714.

Two things about a bed make it different from the rest of a furniture order, and both show up in what customers actually ask us for. The boxes are heavy and long, so they usually end up wherever the delivery driver could put them down — not in the bedroom. And once the frame is up it has to be solid, because it is the one piece of furniture in the house that carries a person all night. Gold Hands is insured, and we build in the room the bed is going to stay in.

The boxes are downstairs and the bed goes upstairs

A real request from our job history: a full bed frame with drawers, bought flat-packed, sitting in pieces in the upstairs living room and needing to come down before anything could be built. Another: a queen-over-queen bunk bed delivered in three boxes to a property in Hallandale Beach, still sealed, needing to be carried and fully assembled. Retailers deliver to the door or the lobby. They do not carry to the bedroom, and a boxed queen frame is not a one-person stair carry.

So moving the flat-packs is part of the job, not an extra you have to arrange separately. Tell us where the boxes are and where the bed is going — up a flight, down a flight, along a corridor, across a building — and we plan the trip before the tools come out. If the pieces have already been opened and spread across two rooms, say that too; loose panels and a bag of hardware travel differently than a sealed box.

Bunk beds: parents care that it is solid, not that it is finished

A bunk bed is an anxious purchase, and the question we get is never how fast it goes up. It is whether it will still be tight in six months with two kids on it. We build to the manufacturer's own instructions and hardware — every bolt in the sequence the maker specified, torqued down rather than left finger-tight, guard rails and ladder fitted the way the manual shows, and the unit fixed to the wall where the maker calls for an anchor. We will not skip a bracket because it looks unnecessary, and we will not substitute hardware that did not come in the box.

If parts are missing or damaged in the carton — which happens with three-box bunk sets more than with any other item — we would rather stop and tell you than improvise a fix on a bed a child sleeps in. Same with a bunk that was bought used and arrived without its instructions or its full hardware set: tell us before the visit so we can talk about whether it is worth building at all.

Storage beds, Murphy beds and tight Miami bedrooms

A platform bed with four or six drawers under it is a different build from a plain frame — drawer boxes, runners, a full base, and far more fasteners — and that is why it prices at the complex tier. In a Miami condo bedroom the assembled frame usually will not clear the doorway, so it gets built in place, in its final footprint, which means we need the working room around it cleared before we start rather than after. Murphy beds go further again: a wall bed is anchored into the structure and its spring or piston mechanism has to be set correctly, so we quote those individually. If a build turns out to need work that legally requires a licensed trade — new wiring for a lit headboard or a media wall, say — that part goes to a licensed pro instead of being done by us.

The rest is building logistics. Bed boxes are long, so most condos here route them through the freight elevator, which usually means a reserved window and a vendor certificate of insurance on file with management before anyone works on site — send us the management contact when you book and we get our certificate over ahead of time. The packaging is its own problem: a bunk set or a storage bed empties out into a stack of cardboard that will fill a small trash room by itself, so we flatten it and take it with us. For owners furnishing a rental or a seasonal unit from out of town, that whole chain — receive the boxes, build the bed, clear the cardboard — is the reason to hire someone in the first place. Cribs are the same job with a deadline attached, and we get those requests too, usually from parents working backward from a due date.

Frequently asked questions

How much does bed assembly cost in Miami?

A bed frame is $219 — it is priced as a complex item, alongside wardrobes and entertainment centers. Smaller pieces in the same room are $129 for a simple item like a nightstand and $169 for a dresser, and three or more pieces takes 10% off the total. If you would rather pay for time, it is an $80 service call, then $80/hr with a two-hour minimum. Call or text (786) 788-8714.

How much is bunk bed assembly?

Bunk beds are quoted, not priced off the flat list. A queen-over-queen set in three boxes is a bigger build than a standard frame, and loft beds and beds with stairs or built-in drawers vary a lot by model. Send the retailer and model name, or a photo of the boxes, to (786) 788-8714 and we will give you a price for that bed. If you prefer, we can work at $80/hr with a two-hour minimum instead.

Can you carry the boxes upstairs before assembling the bed?

Yes, and it is one of the most common things people ask for. Delivery leaves the boxes at the door, in the lobby, or in whatever room was closest — we move them to the bedroom and build there. Tell us the floors, the stairs or elevator, and whether the boxes are still sealed when you book, so we come prepared for the carry as well as the build.

Do you assemble Murphy beds and cribs?

Yes to both. Murphy beds are quoted individually because a wall bed is anchored into the structure and the lift mechanism has to be set properly — send us the model. Cribs are a regular job for us and usually a dated one, so book with the due date in mind rather than the week of. If a Murphy bed install turns out to need new electrical work, that piece goes to a licensed pro.

How long does furniture assembly take?

A simple item like a bookshelf takes 30-45 minutes. A full bedroom set — bed, dresser, nightstands — typically takes 2-3 hours. We give you a time estimate when you book.

Do I need to unbox the furniture first?

No. We handle everything from unboxing to assembly to cleanup. Just show us where you want it placed.

Can you assemble furniture I bought from any store?

Yes. If it comes in a box with instructions, we can build it — regardless of brand or where you bought it.

What if parts are missing from the kit?

We identify the missing part and help you contact the manufacturer for a replacement. For common hardware, we often carry a spare in the truck.
