Sink repair in Miami is $129 for a faucet repair, $195 labor for a faucet replacement, and $195 to install a garbage disposal under the kitchen sink. Gold Hands is an insured handyman company — we handle leaks under the cabinet, clogs at the fixture, loose undermount sinks and p-trap work, and hand anything that legally needs a licensed trade to a licensed pro.

Most people who call us about a sink are looking at a wet cabinet floor. The two calls we get more than any other are fix the kitchen faucet and check for leaks under the sink, and the sink is leaking water from the base. Both are usually a worn faucet cartridge, a loose supply line connection, a failed sink-to-counter seal, or a slip joint on the p-trap that has backed off — repairs that take one visit and one trip under the cabinet. Faucet repair is $129; if the faucet body itself is finished, replacement is $195 labor and you buy the fixture. Call or text (786) 788-8714 and send a photo of what it looks like under there.

Sink work is a regular part of what we do in Miami — faucets, vanities, drains and clogs at the fixture. That covers bathroom sinks clogged by something a kid dropped in, kitchen faucets that started leaking under the sink yesterday, garbage disposals that need installing under an existing kitchen sink, undermount sinks coming loose from the counter, and vanity swaps. Gold Hands is insured, which is what a condo building actually asks for before it lets a vendor upstairs.

Undermount kitchen sinks pulling away from granite and quartz

An undermount sink hangs from the underside of a stone counter on adhesive and metal clips — nothing above the counter is holding it. Over years, with a sink that is regularly full of water and dishes, and with the humidity in Miami working on the bond, that adhesive lets go. The first sign is usually cosmetic: a hairline gap opening along the seam where the stone meets the sink, or the caulk line splitting. Then the sink starts to drop. Customers describe it exactly the way you would expect — the sink is falling — or they ask straight out whether it can be reglued. We have had that call.

It is a handyman job, not a plumber's job. The sink gets supported from below, the drain and disposal are disconnected so the weight comes off, the old adhesive and caulk are cut away from both the stone and the sink rim, new clips and adhesive go in, and it is braced while it cures before the plumbing goes back. What we will not do is glue a dropping sink back up with the disposal still hanging off it — that bond fails again, and the second failure usually takes the countertop seam with it.

Sink work in a Miami condo: insurance certificates and shut-off windows

In a tower you often cannot simply close a valve and start working. Many buildings restrict water shut-offs to scheduled windows and require notice to management, and most require a vendor certificate of insurance on file before anyone works in a unit. We are insured and send our certificate to management ahead of the appointment. Tell us the building when you book so we work to its rules instead of finding out at the front desk.

This is also why a slow leak under a cabinet is urgent here rather than something to watch for a few weeks. Water that collects under a kitchen or vanity cabinet in a condo eventually shows up as a stain on the ceiling of the unit below, and at that point it stops being your cabinet and becomes an association matter with two units involved. If the cabinet floor is already soft or dark, say so when you call — that changes what we bring.

What we fix at the sink, and what goes to a licensed plumber

Faucets, supply lines, shut-off valves at the fixture, p-traps and drain assemblies, pop-up stoppers, garbage disposal installation, undermount sinks re-secured, vanity removal and replacement, and clogs at the fixture — a bathroom sink blocked by a toy, hair or buildup — are all handyman work and all things we do. Hard water in South Florida also fills faucet aerators with mineral scale, and that shows up as low pressure at one tap rather than as a visible fault; it is worth checking before anyone starts opening up a wall. While we are under there, common add-ons are a toilet repair at $129 for a fill valve or flapper and a showerhead replacement at $99.

We are a handyman company, not a plumbing contractor, and the line matters. Re-piping, anything inside a wall, main line stoppages, sewer work, gas lines, and any job that requires a permit go to a licensed pro — we will tell you that on the phone or at your door rather than opening something we should not. If what you have is a supply line that will not stop weeping, or a drain that is backing up in more than one fixture at once, that is a licensed plumber's job from the start.

Frequently asked questions

how much does it cost to fix a leaking kitchen sink in miami

A faucet repair is $129. If the faucet itself is worn out and needs swapping, replacement is $195 for labor and you supply the fixture. Leaks at the p-trap, the drain assembly or a supply connection are handled on the same visit. If the leak turns out to be inside the wall, that is a licensed plumber's job and we will tell you before starting.

my undermount sink is falling away from the countertop, can it be reglued

Usually yes. Undermount sinks are held to the underside of granite or quartz by adhesive and clips, and that bond fails over time. We support the sink, disconnect the drain and disposal so the weight comes off, cut out the old adhesive and caulk, reset it with new clips and adhesive, brace it while it cures, and reconnect the plumbing. If the stone itself is cracked at the seam, that is a countertop fabricator's repair, not ours.

can you fix a sink in a miami condo building

Yes. We are insured and send our certificate of insurance to building management before the appointment, which is what most associations require. Tell us the building when you book — many towers only allow water shut-offs in scheduled windows and need advance notice, so we schedule around that rather than turning up and being sent away.

do i need a plumber or a handyman for a sink leak

If the leak or clog is at the fixture — faucet, supply line, shut-off valve, p-trap, drain assembly, disposal, or a sink coming loose from the counter — a handyman handles it and it costs less. Call a licensed plumber if it is inside a wall, if it is a main line or sewer stoppage, if more than one fixture is backing up at the same time, or if the job needs a permit. We hand those off rather than take them on.

Do you handle major plumbing work like re-piping?

No — we handle handyman-level, non-permit plumbing: faucets, toilets, disposals, and fixture swaps on existing lines. Re-piping, sewer line work, and water heater installation require a licensed plumber, and we will refer you to one.

Do I need to provide the parts?

You can provide parts yourself, or we can pick them up. Either way, they are billed at actual cost — no markup, and we show you the receipt.

How fast can you get here for a leak?

We offer same-day service in most of Miami-Dade and Broward. Call before noon for the best chance of a same-day slot.

Why does my toilet keep running after a repair?

Usually a worn flapper or a fill valve set too high. We replace the failing part and check the water level so it does not recur — a quick, inexpensive fix in most cases.
