One curtain rod or one blind, hung in under an hour, is our $99 small task. Several rooms at once - ceiling tracks, blinds across a run of windows, rods in the living room and both bedrooms - runs at our $80/hr rate with a two-hour minimum, or $389 for a half day and $715 for a full day.
Gold Hands hangs blinds, shades, curtain rods and ceiling curtain tracks in Miami apartments, condos and houses. You buy the blinds or curtains you want; we bring the drills, bits and anchors and put them up straight and solid. A single rod or a single blind is the $99 small task. A whole apartment after a move is an $80 service call, then the $80/hr rate with a two-hour minimum, and longer days are $389 for four hours or $715 for eight. Call or text (786) 788-8714 with a photo of the window and what you bought.
Most of these calls are not about one curtain. Out of the 24 blinds and curtain jobs in our books, most arrived as a list: four rods across the living room and bedrooms plus a TV to mount, two bedroom curtains plus a dresser to move, a set of blinds plus a light fixture to swap. We do the whole list in one visit, which is cheaper than booking three separate call-outs, and it is where the two-hour minimum works in your favor rather than against you - once we are there, the second and third task cost you time, not another trip charge. We are insured. If something on your list legally requires a licensed trade - new wiring for a motorised track, for example - that part goes to a licensed pro and we tell you before the day.

Ceiling curtain tracks in a Miami concrete ceiling
This is the job people give up on. Ceiling-mounted systems like IKEA VIDGA are designed to screw into a ceiling, and in a Miami condo that ceiling is poured concrete, not drywall over wooden joists. The plastic anchors in the box are not the answer. It needs a hammer drill, a masonry bit, the right anchor for the load, and a track run that stays level over eight or ten feet of concrete. A customer who had already bought VIDGA tracks for their living room and two bedrooms called us exactly at that point - the parts were in the apartment, the ceiling would not cooperate.
Walls behave the same way here. Block and concrete are the norm in Miami buildings, so a rod that would take two minutes in a stud wall up north is a different piece of work, and a rod anchored badly into block pulls out with the weight of blackout curtains on it. We mount into what is actually there and we say up front if a bracket position has to move a few inches to land somewhere that will hold. Note that we install these systems - we are not affiliated with IKEA or any other brand, and we do not sell the tracks.
One visit, the whole list
Nobody hires a company for one curtain rod, and our CRM shows it. Curtain work almost always turns up inside a bigger request - hang two curtains in the bedroom windows, move the dresser, mount the TV; or four rods across the living room and bedrooms alongside the rest of the move-in punch list. Send us the full list when you call and we will work through it in one appointment: rods, blinds, TV brackets, shelves, mirrors, furniture moved, a fixture swapped.
That is also the honest way to think about the pricing. If curtains are genuinely the only thing you need and it is one item, take the $99 small task. If there are three or four things, the $80/hr rate with a two-hour minimum covers all of them in the same visit and you pay for the time once instead of paying a separate call-out for each trade errand. Half a day at $389 gets through a substantial list; a full day at $715 covers a whole apartment's worth.
New moves, rental turnover and building rules
The pattern in Miami is a whole apartment at once, right after a move. Someone lands in a new condo, the windows are bare, and there are rods, blinds and tracks to go up in three or four rooms in one go - the same pattern repeats every time a rental turns over. Floor-to-ceiling glass and sliding doors are everywhere in these buildings, which means long single runs rather than small individual windows, and west-facing units usually want blackout on the afternoon sun rather than a decorative panel. Long runs need proper bracket spacing so the track or rod does not sag in the middle - measure before you buy, and send us the measurements if you want a second opinion before you order.
Buildings have their own rules and they are worth checking before you book a day. Many Miami condo associations require a vendor certificate of insurance on file before a contractor works in a unit, and plenty restrict drilling to weekday business hours because of the noise through concrete. We are insured and can send our certificate to management ahead of the appointment. Tell us your building when you call and we will book a slot that fits the hours it allows.

Frequently asked questions
How much to install curtain rods in Miami?
One rod is our $99 small task - a single item that takes under an hour. If you have several rods, or rods plus other jobs, it is $80/hr with a two-hour minimum, which usually works out cheaper than booking each item separately. Half a day is $389 and a full day is $715. Call or text (786) 788-8714 with a photo of the windows and what you bought.
Can you install IKEA VIDGA ceiling tracks in a concrete ceiling?
Yes - that is one of the most common versions of this call in Miami. Ceiling systems like VIDGA need a hammer drill, a masonry bit and anchors rated for concrete, not the plastic plugs that come in the box. Tracks across a living room and two bedrooms is a multi-room job, so it goes on the $80/hr rate with a two-hour minimum rather than the single-item price. We install these systems; we are not affiliated with IKEA and we do not supply the tracks.
Do you supply the blinds and curtains?
No. We install what you have already bought - blinds, shades, rods, tracks, curtains, all of it. Buy what you want and have the boxes and any hardware in the unit before we arrive. If you are not sure a rod or track will work with your window, send a photo and the measurements before you order and we will tell you what we see.
Can you hang curtains and do other jobs in the same visit?
Yes, and that is how most of these bookings run. Curtains and blinds usually come with a TV to mount, furniture to move, a shelf to put up or a light to swap. Send the whole list when you call - one visit at $80/hr with a two-hour minimum covers it, instead of paying a separate call-out for each task.
Can I give you a list of multiple small tasks?
Absolutely — it is actually the most cost-effective way to use the service. Many customers hand us 5-10 tasks and we knock them all out in one visit instead of paying separate minimums for each.
What is the minimum charge?
A 2-hour booking at $80/hour, or a $99 flat rate for a single small task. Either way, we quote the cost upfront before starting.
Do you work in condos and apartments?
Yes, throughout Miami-Dade County — we are familiar with building access procedures and HOA requirements common in local condos and townhomes.
Do you offer recurring maintenance for rental properties?
Yes. Property managers and homeowners often book us for monthly or quarterly visits at a discounted rate to stay ahead of small repairs before tenants complain.
